Frazier Pavillion, Lubbock, SPF, Texas Tech

Above is the picture of Frazier Alumni Pavillion on the campus of Texas Tech University, site of the 2008 Susan Polgar National Invitational for Girls, the most prestigious all-girls event in the United States.

I just finished an inspection of the Frazier Alumni Pavillion. This is a part of the preparation for the upcoming 2008 Susan Polgar National Invitational for Girls which will take place on July 27 – August 1 at Texas Tech University.

We aim to put on a spectacular top-notch annual event. About 50 players have confirmed their participation.

        Let’s see.

The Susan Polgar Foundation / SPICE / TTU offer:

        – Free accommodations
        – Free meals
        – Nice playing hall
        – Plenty of side activities

        The USCF offers:

        – $120 / night x 6 nights for hotels
        – $50 / day for meals
        – Cramp hotel ballrooms with no activities
        – Pay $$$$ for entry fees to additional events

I wonder which deal is better for the players and their parents.

What about pictures of the playing hall itself?

Masked Pawn: when you put it that way, then you gotta wonder what the USCF is doing organization wise. Susan, excellent work.

The Denker tournament could have had these conditions too. Good thing Goicherg is there to save the USCF and block this sort of sponsorship deal.
