FREE SPF / SPICE Chess Curriculum

      Chess Discussion, curriculum, SPF, SPICE

Over 55,000 FREE SPF / SPICE Curriculum / Training Guide were sent out to teachers, parents, chess organizations and clubs in over 92 countries in the past 2 years. It is completely FREE.

There are a few reasons why I created this curriculum / training guide. I saw so many children being taught chess incorrectly and after a short time, they lose interest because of this. While it is important to introduce chess to children, it is equally important to teach them right so they can learn properly and enjoy this beautiful game even more.

In addition, many parents, teachers and coaches would like to convince their schools / districts to incorporate chess into their systems. This is why this curriculumn / training guide is divided into 30 chapters, one per week, to serve this purpose. It can serve as the main base and small modifications can be made to fit your school guidelines.

My dream is to be able to introduce chess to as many children as possible. If you have not gotten your copy yet, please click here to register for your FREE account on www.ChessDiscussion.com then click here to download your FREE copy. This is the same guide which I personally used to teach many students including my own children.

I will continue to come up with more materials / tips / information to help parents and coaches. All announcements will be made right here on this blog and on the www.ChessDiscussion.com forum. If you have any suggestion, please feel free to email me.

Good luck with your effort in introducing chess to young people!

Hello Susan, I am a chess teacher from Israel. Me and other teachers have used your material in the past year, the results were very positive. Thank you for giving this information free of charge.

I also had a chance to meet your parents, as we are in the process of trying to teach kids the “Polgar Superstar” chess variant. Also very interesting and educational. Great blog, btw.

Fantastic curriculum. The best chess training source on the planet. No wonder you’re the best trainer in the world. Thank you! And – please translate it to other languages so others can use it, too? You may start with Spanish.

“Polgar Superstar”, I like the sound of that. 🙂

Perhaps Andrew Lloyd Weber can write a Broadway play of the same name?

The plot can be the acension of Susan to the highest levels of chess to only be betrayed and hounded by a crazy old wrinkled man from Brooklyn, a wierdo bicyclist from Massachusetts, and a complete fantasy ka-ka whack-job from Nevis and St. Kitts.

        It would be a hit!

        Songs include:

“Sam wants to know your 3 year old better.” Sung by Sam and the Pedophiles.
“My bicycle makes me sad and so does chess.” Intro by Laugherty and finished by English rock band: Queen.
“Everyone is trying to KILL ME!” Solo by Marckus.
“The status quo is for USCF clique” Duet by Goichi and Motor-head.
“The USCF is sinking, hurrah!” Solo by Laugherty.
“Chess Life, Chess Death, its all the same.” Solo by Goichi.
“If I were a rich man.” Solo by Sam.

“Y-M-C-A” Sung by Sloan, Laugherty, and Markus with the Village People.
