      French Open Prediction

      French Open

I think Nadal is in a very good bracket. His biggest obstacle to get to the final may be Davydenko. Andy Murray is an excellent player but I don’t think he can stop Nadal on clay.

Federer will have a tough time with Djokovic or Del Potro. Andy Roddick won’t be able to stop Federer on clay. Federer has worked very hard to improve his game on clay. It will be a very close final but I think Nadal will prevail in 5 sets.

Safina looks like she’s in good form. But Ivanovic is in the same top bracket and they may face each other in the quarter-final. If she can get pass Ivanovic, Venus may be waiting for her in the semi-final.

Jankovic, Dementieva, Kutznetsova and Serena are in the bottom draw. Serena is not looking very sharp. But if she can win a few matches, she may get on a roll.

This is a much tougher prediction. My gut instinct tells me it may be Safina’s year.

I fully disagree. This French Open will show once and for all why Federer is one of the all-time greats. And Safina? She will burn out before she even gets to the final. One of the Williams sisters will win the women’s side.
