      GM Marin Bosiocic wins 17th Trieste Chess Festival

      The 17th Trieste Chess Festival took place from August 29 – September 5, 2015, in the splendid city of Trieste, part of the Italian Adriatic coast.

      GM Marin Bosiocic from Croatia topped the 9-round Swiss event with 7/9 points. He shared the first place with GM Alberto David from Italy, but the tie-break score decided the trophy in favor of Bosiocic.

      Hungarian GM Gyula Pap, Ukrainian GM Andrey Vovk, Ukrainian GM Vladimir Baklan and Slovenian IM Leon Mazi tied for the third place at 6.5 points each.

      The 15-year-old Ivana Hrescak from Slovenia emerged the best female players with 4.5 points.
