      Gocher Open 2011

      The 22nd Internationales Gocher Open 2011 is scheduled to take place from 29th September to 2nd October at the Kultur und Kongreßzentrum Kastell in Goch, Germany.

      The tournament will be played over 7 rounds of Swiss pairing system, with the time control of 90 min + 30 sec for the first 40 moves and then 15 min + 30 sec for the rest of the game.

      The tournament will use Bilbao scoring system, 3 points for a win, 1 for draw, 0 for loss.

      Top prizes are 1.000,- € / 700,- € / 450,- € / 250,- € / 150,- €. In addition there will be 18 prizes for the top scorers in various rating groups.

      Due to space limitations, the organizers can accept only the first 150 registered players. A waiting list is formed for players who are hoping to jump in case of sudden withdrawals.

      Top rated are GM Sebastien Mazé FRA 2575, GM Normunds Miezis LAT 2534, IM Karl-Heinz Podzielny GER 2470, IM Twan Burg GER 2462 and GM Lev Gutman GER 2450.
