        1..Re3 deflects the white Q and leads to mate on g2 , or decisive material gain.

        White’s option seems to be only Qf2 since the Queen must guard g2. The rook is immune from capture since otherwise Qg2++

        1…Re3 2. Qf2 (else …Qg2#) Re1+ and mate next. Very, very pretty combo worthy of the man who once pondered his first move as White for half an hour.
