      Al Pacino, Movie Star

Pacino: A New York state of mind
      Donna Jacobs, Citizen Special
      Published: Monday, April 23, 2007

From a broken home on the poor streets of the South Bronx of New York City, tough and mistrustful of media, he atypically allowed himself to be probed over a period of decades by his friend, journalist Lawrence Grobel.

They punctuated hours of animated interviews on his acting career and hours of thrust-and-parry interviews on his personal life with paddle tennis, arm-wrestling and going to see baseball games for relief. They also played chess and, says Grobel, Pacino improved over the years from playing chess on movie sets. He’d become “proficient at castling, trading queens and zeroing in on knocking off an opponent’s king.”

I need a favour from fellow chess enthusiasts.
To Susan: I am sorry if this is the wrong way to post for help, but would appreciate it if somebody could reply.
I would need help from somebody who has the book “The Complete Grunfeld” by GM Alexei Suetin, published by Batsford in 1991. My original copy had a torn page in it and I did not notice it when i purchased it. Thus, one page is torn and a small part is not visible. I was hoping somebody who has the book can show me the page to allow me to restore it. Thank you to anybody who replies. Send me an email at triplepaper@yahoo.com. Thanks once again for taking time to read my S.O.S. 🙂

Chess matches (for charity) with the movie stars. Al Pacino could be a captain of a team.

Hey, castling can be pretty tricky stuff. Especially if you try to grab both pieces with one hand and switch them around… while chewing gum at the same time.
