Historic chess event at Texas Tech University

Reshevsky Memorial, SPF, SPICE, Texas Tech University

SPICE and the Susan Polgar Foundation (SPF) are pleased to announce a historic chess event which will take place in the fall at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.

Texas Tech will be hosting the prestigious Reshevsky Memorial International Grandmaster Invitational Tournament from November 9 to 16 on campus.

SPICE and the SPF are very thankful for the generous donation by Dr. Eric Moskow to make this outstanding event possible. He is not only a generous sponsor to various chess events around the world, but a formidable opponent to anyone as well.

The event details will be announced shortly.

Did you ever meet Reshevsky? Just curious.

Wasn’t Dr Moskow both chasing a norm and having email problems? How did all that pan out?

I hope there will be a tournament book issued to commemorate the event and provide annotated games. 🙂

Ed: good news on the chess front, but more importantly, right man, right place, right priorities.
Not at all important, but I hope you checked with that University about the authenticity of the spammer – and sorted that one out.
