
Hoboken Chess Club taking a “Chess Field Trip”

Peter Croce and the Hoboken Chess Club is running a “Chess Field Trip” this Saturday, May 9.
They’ll be visiting some of the most famous areas of chess in the world, including the Chess Shop, the Chess Forum, the Rosolino Chess Center, the Marshal Chess Club and Washington Square Park.
Registration is $20 and the trip is open to all children from Hoboken and the surrounding area. Registration includes a lunch and a second family member can accompany for $10.
Here’s their itinerary for Saturday:
• Meeting in Hoboken at 9:30 a.m. Meet at the Spa Diner at 74 Hudson St, Hoboken; breakfast is optional from 9:30 to 10 a.m.
• 10 a.m. — Take the PATH to 9th Street in NYC
• From 9th Street, walk to Washington Square Park, at 11:00 a.m. visit The Chess Shop, view over 100 chess sets and play chess.
• Noon break for lunch — pizza
• 12:45 Visit Chess Forum/Rosolino Chess Center
• 2 p.m. Visit the World Famous Marshal Chess Club
