Chuck Ronco, Derek O'Dell, Hokie Memorial, Virginia Tech

I just arrived at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA for the Hokie Memorial Chess Tournament to raise money for the Hokie Memorial Funds.

I am bringing with me a special letter signed by the President, Provost, Senior Vice Provost of Texas Tech University and Knight Raider Student Advisor. We at Texas Tech fully support this wonderful effort by the chess players of VT.

For more information about supporting this wonderful cause, email CharityChess@vt.edu.

Even though my plane was delayed quite a bit due to the weather, VT senior Chuck Ronco (co-organizer) and VT junior Derek O’Dell (co-organizer and President of the VT Chess Club) met me at the airport and took us to the University. I will be conducting a lecture tomorrow and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Hokie Memorial Funds.
