      Houdini 4 with a full point edge at TCEC Stage 1a

      Houdini 4 continues rolling through Stage 1a of the strongest computer chess championship TCEC. In the key moment of the qualification group, Houdini managed to defeat with black one of the surprises of Season 6 – Cheng4 – and later continued to take a full point against it’s direct competitor for the top position Critter 1.6a.

      Houdini is now with 6,0/7, a full point ahead of Critter and Hannibal. On positions 4th-6th, that give qualification right to the next stage, are shared by Texel, Gull, and Cheng4 with 4,5/7. A point behind them with 3,5/7 is the 3000+ engine Equinox.
