      EB election, Susan Polgar, USCF

      Painting by my sister Sofia

To the many of you who constantly give me words of encouragement to fight the destructive chess politicians who held US Chess and the USCF back for years:

Thank you! I can assure you that some of these people have picked the wrong battle with the wrong person. I remember when I was a little girl playing chess. People used to be just as mean and vicious. Many did what they could to discourage me from playing chess. Not only I did not quit, it motivated even more to work hard in my game every single day and I ended up breaking one barrier after another.

When I decided to help US Chess and the USCF back in 2001-2002, I faced a similar thing. Their questionable actions and detrimental conducts motivated me to do more and more and I did not quit.

When I decided to run for this upcoming USCF Executive Board election, I knew it would be difficult. But seeing what I have seen in the past few months, it is worse than what I could have imagined. Now I understand the many problems within the USCF for decades. Some of these people would sink to any level for their own agenda. The best interest of the US Chess and the USCF is the last thing on their minds. They constantly try to chase away the best talents that want to help this federation instead of embracing them.

I am not going anywhere. I intend to stay and fight all the way. Chess is my life and I love what I do. Chess and politics do not mix for me. I am willing, ready and able to continue putting 150% of my energy and efforts for chess. One way or another, things will be fixed and these destructive people will just be a distant memory.

President Kennedy once said: “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country!”

I can do more for US Chess and the USCF. I will do more for US Chess and the USCF. And yes, I will do everything in my power to unite everyone for the benefit of chess.

Thank you for your kind words and support!
      Susan Polgar

        This is my dream.

        You are the ONE.

        GO SUSAN GO.

You get all 4 of my votes.

        Susan
        Paul
        Randy
        Mikhael

        Go Team Go.

Make my life long dream finally come true. Chess as a major sport in USA.

Susan, you’re courageous. I clearly see the dirty tactics of people like Lafferty, Quinn and Sloan. They’ll harrass, insult, attack anyone who stands up and fight. They’ll do anything to harm other candidates and they think that it’s just good old politics. What a sick bunch of people. You have my full support. I’m confident you can end all the constant destruction. Go Susan!

You forgot Bogner too. Bogner would do anything to smear other strong candidates to help Stephen Jones. Bogner is for Bogner and no one else and he’s Mr. Politico. I had the displeasure of working with Mr. Bogner in the past and all I can say is NO THANKS! NEVER AGAIN!

Even though I am not an American, I really hope and your team win this, Susan. It’s really commendable of you, as such a talented player, to give so much to chess.

May we dare dream a great (impossible?) dream – that if you win, it could be a springboard to challenge for the FIDE Presidency, and rid the chess world of a 25-year old nightmare??

I have never seen anyone so committed! I do believe, with all my heart you will win, GM Polgar. You will bring dignity, honesty, and honor itself back to the USCF.

The USCF has been awful and it reflects poorly upon the U.S. It isn’t right. Especially the the scholatic players (K-12).

With you on the Board, I see a great future for the USCF. Thank you for doing so much for our sport.

Susan’s candidacy will end in victory. Great! I think it was Kasparov who noted that Susan is probably the greatest ambassador for chess anywhere on the planet, not just in the USA.

Paul will likely win too, as clearly Susan and Paul have synergy as a team.

But it is not yet clear that Mikhail K. will win.

I have lost track — whose E.B. term continues beyond this election season?
I thought Bill G. and Joel Ch. both continued beyond this year, but I must wrong about that (since the E.B. size is only 5 seats, and 4 seats are up for election, right?)?

GeneM, the EB has 7 seats. 1 seat is vacant. Goichberg, Channing and one other are holdovers.

That is why must vote for Susan and the rest of her choices, too. If she makes a clean sweep in the election, her team will have just 4 votes out of 7.

        Zsuzsa!

Sok ilyen emberre lenne szükség, mint TE! Drukkolok Neked!

        You are special!

Also, the painting of Zsófi is extremely good IMO.
