      ICS Maharashtra Open FIDE Rating Chess Tournament

      India, Scholastic chess


      The cream of 350+ young chess talents across Maharashtra, including 110 FIDE rated players will be seen in action in Indian Chess School’s 1st Maharashtra Open FIDE Rating Chess Tournament for Under-15 School to be held at Don Bosco High School, Matunga from 26-30 December, 2013.

      The tournament is being conducted by Indian Chess School under the aegis of Bombay Chess Association, Maharashtra Chess Association and the All India Chess Federation. The performance of the players would be taken into account by FIDE (World Chess Federation) to determine their FIDE Ratings.

      The tournament has a prize fund of Rs.1,25,000/- with a first prize of Rs.25,000/- and a trophy In all 36-prizes would be disbursed in cash and 12 age-category prizes in trophies.

      The tournament would be played over 9-round swiss league with a time-control of 90 minutes + 30 seconds bonus per player. Two rounds are scheduled daily.
