      IM Wynn Zaw Htun wins Myanmar International Open 2015

      The 2015 edition of Myanmar International Open took place from November 23rd through November 27th in Yangon, Myanmar’s largest city.

      The event was a 9-round Swiss open tournament with US$ 3,000 reserved for the winner.

      Myanmar’s top player IM Zaw Htun Wynn scored 7.5/9 points to claim the first place. The winner finished undefeated and added 17 new Elo points to his rating.

      GM Duc Hoa Nguyen from Vietnam and Indian IM Sunilduth Lyna Narayanan tied for the second place with 7 points but Nguyen prevailed on a better tie-break criteria to take the silver.
