      Increasing the Voice of Europe in FIDE!
      Tuesday, 03 August 2010 14:16

      We R Europe Declares support for Zone Presidents and Executive Board Members!

      We R Europe Team, has a real interest in the benefits for Europe of respecting the development of chess in other continents. On one hand, we know that without making chess globally popular, we cannot be truly successful in our own continent. Therefore, we will help all other continents, starting with Africa, to help develop chess in those continents. But on the other hand, we will be fully responsible for protecting the rights of European Chess, by increasing our voice in FIDE meetings.

      We R Europe Team, will support European Zone Presidents and elected Executive Board members in Executive Board meetings and in the General Assemblies of FIDE.

      Concretely this means that:

      All Zone Presidents of Europe will be supported with their travelling expenses and accommodation in the FIDE Executive Board and General Assembly;

      All Executive board members (four) elected for this post and participating in Executive Board meetings will be supported by the ECU with travel expenses and lodging;

      With our finanical budget and plans for a new and dynamic ECU, we will create more than enough revenue sources for this support.

      This will help all EB members, and Zone Presidents to effectively participate in FIDE meetings and defend the rights of European Chess.We know that some federations in Europe contribute already in this regard to their elected members. But the future of Europe should not be treated inequitably and all individuals should be given the opportunity of contributing.

      We will increase the importance of the Zone Presidents. We will also increase the importance of the zones themselves! Support will be provided for the organization of development seminars for arbiters, chess in schools and federation managers.Our success in our federations is the guarantee of our promises.

      Winning is a habit, Success is a choice
