Okay I found the game score. Yes, 19…Bd3 is pretty. But does it really win outright? A few of those last half-dozen moves by each side look a little shaky to me.
1…Bf1 is not a good move 1.Rxf1 (and Black faces the same mate threats as before) 2…Qe7 3.Qh6+ Qh7 4.Qxf8+ Qg8 5.Qf6+ Kh7 6.Qh4+ Kg6 7.Rg1 Kf7 8.Qf6+ Ke8 9.Rxg8 ++

OOps, wrong engine. Here’s Rybka’s analysis:

Wow, that’s impressive. Why don’t you try to solve it without using a computer?
Why post what a computer comes up with?
I don’t see why white can’t just take the bishop with the king after Bd3. Black has no followup checks afterward.
phil:
1… bd3! 2. k:d3 qe7 and now qh6 will be met with qh7+ (queen exchange forced)
qe7 this does not work unless the king is at h7-b1 diagonal: 1… qe7 2. qh6+ qh7 3. q:f8 [+-]
yeah computers are strong. Did Vitolinsh find it in the game?
Interesting… I stared at the position for like 10 secs and then Bd3 appeared to be the right move, though i did not know why.

What a bozo!
No need to tell us what “your” Rybka is saying, because if we wanted to, we could ask “our” Rybka for an advice.
what about:1… Bf1 I think it´s a good move also!
