Indonesia girls draw France in third round of classical games, are overall winners

The third round of Classical games at the MAKITA Women Chess Match between Indonesia and France held at the Sekolah Catur Utut Adianto in Jakarta from 16-22 December ended in a 2-2 draw.

Indonesia therefore takes a comfortable 7.5 to 4.5 lead into the fourth and final round after having won rounds one and two by 3-1 and 2.5-1.5 respectively.

Overall Indonesia had 11-9 lead from Blitz and Rapid, and when including the Classical games played today, by 20.5-15.5 and so are already overall champions.

In round three, the in form Medina Warda Aulia (4/4 in Rapid and now at 3/3 in Classical) handily won against Mathilde Congui and she was soon joined by Dewi AA Citra who beat Nino Maisuradze.

But France soon equalised when Sophie Milliet outplayed Chelsie Monica Shite in the endgame after being worst for a long time and Natacha Benmeshbad then came good with a fine win against Irine Kharisma Sukandar.
