THE INTERNATIONAL YOUTH TEAM TOURNAMENT IN HONOUR OF BIRTHDAY OF CHESS ACADEMY SHAHH & GARDE

      Shahh & Garde Cup 09

Chess academy Shahh & Garde” is based and with success operates in capital of Estonia Tallinn since April, 2002. For these years the academy has prepared some tens young champions, prize-winners and owners of cups of Estonia and we continue it to do. In honour of celebrating the 7 anniversary of academy on April, 17th in Tallinn it has been lead the first international youth team tournament.

To participation on tournament six clubs of Tallinn and a team of chess club of a name of Boris Spasski from St.-Petersburg, Russia. With the Russian club academy Shahh & Garde has friendly communications since 2004. Arrival of the Russian young chess players to Estonia the greater rarity, and the importance huge as besides, cultural communications of Estonia with Russia, the Estonian young chess players have an opportunity to play and check up the forces and opportunities with strong contempoparies of the Russian and world chess schools what, certainly, the chess school of St.-Petersburg is. The remarkable chess trainer and the head of club Cyril Annenkov headed the Russian team. In many respects, at its participation young Estonian chess players Alexander Volodin (the champion of Europe U18) and Valentina Golubenko (the champion of world U18) have achieved considerable progress on chess arena.

      P.S.

      Fair play

Because of employment not all to me managed to be looked parties of tournament, but from seen, as one of beautiful I consider party Ruben Airapetyan (Shahh & Garde -1, Estonia) – Daniel Nedostup (“Boris Spassky”, Russia) which as a result has come to the end with a fighting drawn game. Here too it would be desirable to note Fair play from Ruben. The Russian young chess player has offered a drawn game when it on hours still had 7 seconds against 10, and on a board King, Rook, kNight and a pawn against King and a Queen. It was possible to give up and on time to win a party, but the Estonian young chess player of it has not made and has agreed on a drawn game. Has won the Fair play and friendship!
