The Russian chess championships for juniors and girls under 20 were held in Loo from 16th to 24th April, 2014.
The format of the events was 10-player round robin with the time control 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game plus 30 sec per move from move 1.
GM Ivan Bukavshin and GM Grigoriy Oparin share first place with 6.5/9 points, followed by Aleksandr Predke and FM Alexey Mokshanov on 5,5 each.
In the girls section FM Daria Pustovoitova and WFM Tatiana Khlichkova share first place with 7/9, leaving the nearest contenders 1,5 points behind.
Bukavshin and Pustovoitova are champions, due to superior tie-break, and achieve the rights to represent Russia at the World chess championship for Juniors and Girls under 20. For more information, visit the official website.
