Jacksonville Chess Club wants members

Jacksonville, NC Chess Club
The newly formed Jacksonville Chess Club is looking for members.
“We just started the club and are trying to attract new members,” said Sara Walsh, who formed the club. “Eventually we hope to be able to hold tournaments.”
The club meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Head 2 Head Games and Comics, located at 216 New Bridge St.
“I know they promote chess in schools and are looking for good instructors, so I hope kids will come to the club — there are a lot of opportunities for kids with scholarships and chess tournaments,” Walsh said.
