Cute graphics to your sisters spectacular victory 🙂
Susan Hi,
How do you explain Gelfand’s 29…Rf7?? ?
nice all or nothing attacking game by Judith. The only woman who can ‘best’ the best!! I’m sure Judith has the edge in the rapids. Good comeback by Karjakin too. All the best to both.
Gelfand’s 29…Rf7?? He was woefully short on time!
Amar
Very nice gamble by Judith !
Congratulations to Judith Polgar for this very entertaining game , she took serious risks then played perfectly once Gelfand missed the best continuations .
It is impressive because Boris Gelfand is a remarkable positional player , his game yesterday was impressive as well and he’s done well in the Tal memorial recently
Good luck Judith for the tie-breaks , cheers from France 😉
29.. Rf7 wasn’t important, because white was winning by deadly embracement of black’s king. Qh6 was coming and doubling the rooks on the g-file if needed, no defence possible.
Well done Judith and Kariakin !!
Big chance here in the rapids for both..
some years ago i dreamed of judit becoming world champion, of course this is almost impossible now. it was because of games of her like the one played today. you have to love her chess! it would be wonderful if she won this cup!! good luck!!
That’s bizarre. A completely different score–after move 17 or so– with Gelfand getting the win was up earlier today, somewhere.
Excellent choice from Judit, playing the bishops opening to avoid Gelfand’s Petroff.
