        ‘1-4. Ivanchuk, J. Polgar, Tiviakov, Giri 1.0’

        Giri has 1,5 point?

You mean he is an artist like Kramnik?

Given that they all draw so far the standings seems redundant- but Giri has stopped drawing and started painting.

BOOOORING!!!Yawn…what a waste of time watching all these short draws Giri is getting on live transmission. Wonder what he will learn from them other than gain a few rating points.

What’s going on- all draws in the first three rounds?

Ivanchuk came close this time though, but with Ivanchuk and Polgar as top seeds you wouldn’t have expected it to be this drawish.

        >Wonder what he will learn from them other than gain a few rating points.

well…don’t worry..this is also a learning process..he will have enough time to learn more…
what do you think, why these great players agreed to make a draw with Giri?…probably they feel his potential……otherwise they must crush him to get points (as he is the ‘weakest’ in the list!)…

What is the difference in chess knowledge between Judit & Anatoly Karpov, for example? Does one know more than the other, or its about equal?

Karpov is one of the greatest of all time- champion for 10 years- he is very experienced was world champion before Judit was even born.

You would expect Karpov to have more chess knowledge, just his practical strength is less now.
