      Karpov opened new academy in Canada

      Anatoly Karpov, Canada, Mikhail Korenman


      Former World Champion Anatoly Karpov opened last week a “Karpov Academy” in Canada (Toronto) with an open lesson and presentation for Canadian team going to WYCC. His visit ended up with a simul.

      Here is a picture with Janak Awatramani, Canadian champion under 8 with Misha Korenman in the background.

        the kid on the picture looks scared. but i guess when the white pieces belong to Anatoly Karpov, feer is unavoidable.

        I know the kid on the picture-he may have a scared expression on his face but in fact he is a very smart/focussed kid and gave Karpov a good game.
