      Knight Raider success in St. Louis

      Istvan Sipos, Knight Raider, SPICE, St Louis, Texas Tech, Thanksgiving, TTU


      Texas Tech Knight Raider IM Istvan Sipos (Hungary) just completed the Thanksgiving Open in St. Louis. He gained a whopping 63 points going from 2413 to 2476! In the final 4 rounds, he had to face 3 GMs and 1 IM, beating GM Finegold, drawing GM Gareev and IM Zivanic, while yielding the only loss to GM Shulman.

        Susan, it is incredible to gain that many points at his level in one tournament! Felications to IM Sipos on a superb performance and as Lasker said, young man you play chess well!

        The Texas Tech Knight Raider should have their own US Chess League team. It would be great practice for their talent and a great promotion for their team.

        Maybe when Greg Shahade decides to open up the book to show where the money comes from and under what company the USCF is incorporated? Is this league / business comply with federal / IRS regulations?
