        Dear Anonymous(#2)…

While I would be the first to admit that my modest effort is not “brilliant” by any standards, I would also say that any “art”,(by any method of expression),is purely subjective. An artist merely uses media (including technology) as tools for their expression. You sound like the finger-painter that criticizes Renoir for using brushes, or Ansel Adams for using a camera. Perhaps you would be more comfortable calling these “computer assited artwork” or “advanced art” a la “advanced chess” (where the player is allowed to use a computer during the game). The point is that “art” includes a broad scope of media and that each person will react to it (or not) in their own way. I made this for my own enjoyment (and I use it for Holiday cards) and nothing beyond that, but decided to send it in when Susan invited us to do so.
