Kramnik can draw at will with Anand. This is why Anand could never beat Kramnik in a match where Anand has to challenge. Kramnik beat Kasparov who then should have to be beaten himself. Forcing Kramnik to play as the challenger was a FIDE trick getting the Champion they want.
