      Krush wins match against Mkrtchian

      Chess match, Chicago, Irina Krush, Lilit Mkrtchian, NA Chess Association, Sevan Muradian


      IM Irina Krush of the United States wins the 1st North American Match Challenge with a last round victory against IM Lilit Mkrtchian of Armenia. The first three rounds ended with hard draws bringing the decision down to the final round. The final match score is 2.5 – 1.5.

        She can narrowly beat a 2400 player .

        Wow! And I bet you couldn’t beat a 1400 player! IM Krush is an outstanding player….don’t degrade her chess abililities.

        She is, after all, the curren U.S. Women’s Chess Champion….are you a champion in chess?

        Go Irina ,go play Go!
        Well,to obtain full GM title one has to beat string of players in tournaments much stronger tham Mktrchian girl.And these players are usually GMs.I wish her all the best in her career,but her play from what I’ve seen lately is a light years from achieving GM norms required.She seems to be quite an unstable player.
        That’s not very good sign in my book.
