Why is the 2014 SPICE Cup Open NOT even recognized by 2700chess.com as the NEXT EVENT of GM Wesley So… If this event is FIDE rated which Im sure it is, then why the heck this people from 2700chess.com NOT RECOGNIZING it. Other players already has schedule months before placed in 2700chess.com The fact that the 2014 SPICE Cup Open is a CONFIRMED event of GM Wesley So & FIDE rated is more than enough to get their attention and calendar it as his next event. Just saying
Please save one spot for Nakamura so that he could avenge his lost in the Sinquefielf Cup.
It buffles me! A check in the FIDE website calendar of events for other tournaments REVEALS that the 2014 SPICE Cup Open APPEARS NOT FIDE Rated Event. Perhaps this is the reason why people from 2700chess.com is IGNORING this event because it is NOT FIDE Rated Event. Perhaps the organizer of the 2014 SPICE Cup Open can CLEAR the CONFUSION & issue a statement or so once & for all and state on record whether said tournament is either FIDE Rated or not. Thanks & God Bless.
It says GM & IM Norms can be earned… If thats the case, it presupposes it is FIDE Rated Event… Otherwise, whats the use of playing & earning GM & IM Norms if not FIDE Rated… Its absurd LOL
