Super-grandmaster Liem plays in French league

Vietnamese International Super-grandmaster Le Quang Liem will show off his strategic skills at the French Chess League competition, which began yesterday, May 26.The 20-year-old will play for the club Evry Grand Roque in the contest that comprises 12 clubs.
The French Chess League will compete in the round robin in 11 rounds and finish on June 5.
This is the second time Liem has played for a foreign club since the beginning of this year. Liem has also played for Germany’s Weder Bremen Chess Club in the German chess league (Schachbundesliga).
Liem currently ranks 49th in the world’s top 100 players. His most recent achievement is second place at the Capablanca Memorial 2011 last week.
