      Looking forward to 2008

2008, Anand, Gata Kamsky, Ivanchuk, Kramnik, Topalov

Anand will close out 2007 with the #1 ranking. But what will happen in 2008? Can veterans like Kramnik or Ivanchuk overtake Anand? Or can one of the youngsters like Carlsen, Radjabov or Mamedyarov take that giant leap? Who will be the favorite in Anand vs. Kramnik match and who will be the favorite between Kamsky and Topalov?

As a matter of fact, Kramnik will be #1 in the next list (although only on a technicality). Please get your facts right.

Anand will continue being # 1 until the match with Kramnik .. Kamsky will beat Topalov in a very close match.. Carlsen, Nakamura, Karjakin, Mamedjyarov, Maxime Vachier L, Fabiano Caruana, Emilio Cordova, P Negi, Eduardo Iturrizaga.. they will all increase their rating.. Humpy will continue to get closer to Judith… Chess will get more exposure in USA because of Susan..

Gata will be #1 because he is American! The moral advantage of being an American is huge. It enables the American to beat ALL foreigners. That is why Morphy, Fischer and Kamsky are equally #1 in the World since time began.

“Gata will be #1 because he is American” etc etc.
Just goes to show that not all chess aficionados can be considered brainy. Some are absolute morons.

I hope Anand wins.If it is Anand vs Kamsky, Anand has to hold his nerves as he still feels shaky some how psychologically against him.In the past and recently he had squandered many promising positions against him.
