      Davit Maghalashvili wins the tournament in Tbilisi

      Tbilisi Chess Academy organized a 10-player round robin tournament from 6th to 11th February.

      Georgian IM Davit Maghalashvili convincingly won the competition with 6,5/9 points, leaving the nearest followers point and a half behind. He also succeeded in earning a Grandmaster norm.

      Final standings:

      1. IM Maghalashvili Davit GEO 2502 – 6.5
      2-3. IM Mammadov Zaur AZE 2448 and GM Chibukhchian Artur ARM 2440 – 5
      4-7. IM Azaladze Shota GEO 2487, GM Benidze Davit GEO 2512, GM Sanikidze Tornike GEO 2507 and IM Javakhadze Zurab GEO 2450 – 4.5
      8. IM Baghdasaryan Vahe ARM 2361 – 4
      9. IM Kalashian David ARM 2380 – 3.5
      10. IM Nadanian Ashot ARM 2408 – 3
