      Manakova wins Serbian Women Chess Championship

      Manakova, National Championship, Serbia, Women's Chess

      The 2013 Serbian Women Chess Championship was held from 23rd March to 2nd April at the Hotel Gali in Pirot.

      WGM Maria Manakova justified the top rated position and won the Championship with 8,0/11 points. This is her first national title.

      WIM Sandra Djukic performed splendidly to finish second with 7,5 points and mark the return to her competitive shape.

      Twelve players participated in the round robin tournament. The prize fund was 2100 EUR and the players also received appearance fee which ranged from 100 to 300 EUR.

      3 WGM Benderac Ana 2226 – 7
      4 WGM Stojanovic Andjelija 2258 – 7
      5 WGM Maksimovic Suzana 2201 – 7
      6 Zarkovic Mila 2053 – 6
      7 WIM Rakic Marija 2323 – 5.5
      8 WGM Chelushkina Irina 2281 – 5
      9 WIM Eric Jovana 2240 – 5
      10 Nonkovic Bogdana 2052 – 4
      11 WFM Miladinovic Lena 2116 – 2
      12 WIM Petrovic Marija 2166 – 2
