Why not? This is an official FIDE time control. In fact, you can even go faster for norms.

The IMs need +2 for GM norms. Hoyos is already out, he is at -1 from 7 rounds. Krush and Schneider still have a mathematical possibility of GM norms, but don’t bet on it.
