      Meier wins SPICE Cup Blitz, So 2nd

      Meier started with 5/5, including wins over top seed Onischuk and and second seed So. He the coasted with 2 draws in round 6 and 7 to clinch the title. So made a valiant come back but fell short by 1/2 point.

      Magnus Carlsen’s former coach, Grandmaster Simen Agdestein, who just arrived in Lubbock with a group of students from Norway, tied for 3rd with Texas Tech Knight Raider GM Bykhovsky, super coach IM Rensch from Arizona, and former U.S. #1 and champion GM Onischuk.
