      Mexico City, World Championship

We are now only 16 days away from the World Championship in Mexico City. Our poll revealed that Kramnik and Anand are the 2 favorites to win with Aronian in 3rd.

But what do you think will be the biggest surprise of the championship? Do you think anyone other than Kramnik, Anand and Aronian could win this World Championship? Could any of the top 3 finish with a minus score?

I will have extensive coverage of this World Championship, both from off-site and on-site.

The biggest surprise will be if the world regards it as a world championship rather than a weird candidates tournament.

I don’t think anyone but Anand or Kramnik can win the tournament.
But I think the biggest surprise will come from the 2nd/3rd place.

I feel someone unexpected might be very dangerous (why not Morozevitch ? or Svidler ?)

That’s what makes the fun of it !!

Leko is going to finish higher than expected. He can even win the event though its risky to bet… Anyway he definitely can do it.

Yes, Kramnik and Anand are top seeded. If Kramnik and Anand are the aces, Aronian is in my opinion the Jack because it is very hard to predict how well he is going to preform. He might show fatigue or may be, like a magician, he will pull surprises from under his sleeve. It’s like I don’t know whether Aronian has something prepared under his sleeve or not. Lately his preformances were not totally convincing. Of course he is a Super player but I don’t know whether or not he is #1 yet.

The other biggest surprise will be if the title of world chess champion suffers no dimunition of prestige.

the biggest surprise will be the surprise in itself, something totally unexecpected, and good performance by kramnik, maybe someone caught cheating in the bog.

What? just 16 days more? I never seen this in public advertisement, or TV or newspaper or magazine…

Look at Boxing event or Soccer event. You will know it months before…
