      PM Describes Anand as Grandest of Grandmasters

      NEW DELHI – Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on May 13 hailed chess wizard Viswanathan Anand for becoming a World champion for the fourth time and described him as “grandest of Grandmasters”.

      Anand defeated Veselin Topalov in the decisive 12th game of World Chess Championship to retain his title on May 11.

      The Prime Minister congratulated Anand for his feat and sent him a congratulatory message.

      “The championship in Sofia was played in most difficult circumstances and you proved once again that you remained a grandest of Grandmaster,” Manmohan Singh said in his message.

      “You have made the country proud and I join the millions of the admirers of the game of chess in celebrating the magnificent triumph,” the Prime Minister added. (PTI)

        Hi,
        Anand,thoroughly deserves our [India ]Honorable Prime Minister Mr.Manmohan Singh’s compliments for his win in World Chess Championship tournament.

        I think its one of the ever valuable compliment for Anand,since Nation’s [India’s ]governing head as taken time,out of his busy schedule,to share his opinion and compliment Anand.

        Due recognition for Chess sport in India,growth of chess is eminent across the globe.

        Let every sport grow across the globe and let this world be in harmony & peace.

        So what does that teach you?That it is important to be a good human being too!Had Topa not made so many enemies,he would have been as much loved and admired as Vishy Anand!Good guys do finish First after all!!
