However cutely she excuses it she’s really getting into the dark side of broadmindedness by spelling her name that way. That’s how Hitler rose to power in the first place, with the Conservative government taking that a step further and saying ” we’ve got our wealth based superiority complex and you’ve got your nationalist destructive power based superiority complex, idealistic people are going to be nasty to both of our groups so we’ve got an enemy in common so why don’t we form an alliance? “. And they shouldn’t have been broadminded enough to accept being associated with the scum in any way in the first place. Wealth based superiority complexes aren’t so bad because there’s a big silver lining to capitalism in that jealousy is a powerful motivator and if people are seeing rich people with a higher standard of living than themselves then at least some of them are going to fight constructively to get a higher standard of living for themselves. It’s like there really isn’t enough of whatever it is that people want to go around to start with, but then if people fight for it then there can be enough to go around. Although grabbing resources on an unsustainable basis can seriously damage the planet, for instance over a hundred species of birds of paradise were wiped out to make ladies’ hats, and also there are nicer ways of trying to make sure that there’s enough stuff to go round even if the combined instability of a species which tends to be inherently selfish at both individual and group levels attempting to be fair and the instability of people being stressed out by much larger than natural group sizes and outside influences such as theft and profit motivated takeover means that such attempts often crash and burn at some stage.
