1.Qxf3 pins, and wins, the black knight on c6.

Any attempt by black to protect the knight, e.g. 1…Bd7, is met by 2.Nxe6, and black either loses his queen or gets mated by 3.Qg7#.

Wow. Hard to believe that a real human fell into this.
After Qc3, not sure what Black can do. Nxc6 followed by Qg7# is threatened. The N on c6 cannot really move because the Q on c7 is not protected.

Hey.. this is an easy one.

        1. Qc3! (with the threat Qxc6)
        if 1. .. Bb7 2. Nxb5 or Nxe6 threating both NxQ and Qg7 mate

        Doesn’t 1. Qc3 with x-ray attack on c7 and g7 win simply?
The black knight can’t move due to Qxc7 and defending (e.g. with Bb7) it won’t help.
        1. Qc3, Bb7 2. Nxc6/Nxb5/Nxe6 with mating threat on g7.

So is there a hidden defense I miss after 1. Qc3?
