He’s right. They should change the rule and make the Olympiad about personal competition.

Totally agree with Nakamura. There’s no room for the weak.

Nakamura is being honest. We need honest chess players and not phonies.

The world is full of little, selfish, win-at-all-costs people. Too bad the USA couldn’t trade this guy for someone with more maturity…say, a Kramnik or an Anand. It would be a pleasure to support a player like that.

Nakamura is the pride of the St. Louis Chess Club! He’s the product of this wonderful club.

time for Caruna to come back home & play for USA

he is more yankee than Italian

Perhaps our St Louis Benefactor can persuade him to end his walk about,

he has sewed his wild oats and he can now play with the big boys.

Nakamura may well be the product of a wonderful club, but to anyone who has ever played any team sport this is surely a disgraceful remark. Not the only egotistical, self-centred fool ever to grace the elite of world chess, but shame on you Hikaru

Such an insensitive and egotistical remark. Hikaru should be proud that he plays for the USA and not for Japan where players are as pathetic skill-wise as he is character-wise.

Stop picking on Nakamura. He’s the greatest talent in history. He’ll be the next world champion. We all want a real world champion, not someone who’s afraid to open his mouth like Anand.

As a Team player one must endure that harsh reality because there is no way to guide them to do what is right and their mind is preoccupied over things that affect them psychologically for such mood like fear and time bounded. Yet I believe there are medals for top board players like Hikaru Nakamura. I understand how Hikaru feels about his team.

You are living in a make-believe world. Stop believing in non-existent talents of your countryman Hikaru and STOP passing disparaging remarks against ANAND,
who is a real gentleman !

Whereever and whenever Anand has opened his mouth the listener said ‘touche’. Whenever Naka opens his mouth we have to extract his foot out of it. Let him qualify first for the WC.. Anand is match WC. Magnus is tournament WC.. Naka is foolish talk WC. Gary did not even have a eye contact with this obnoxious in the LCC whereas Gary has good relations with Magnus – both were his pupils.

Hikaru is an ass. He just tweeted a video which is almost entirely of HIMSELF with the wording “What a great video showing our brief moment of glory”. Nakamura is an egotistical poor sport and he has lost me as a fan forever

Naka.. all may not be able to buy the chess ideas from Gary.. like you did.. Without the cruth of sunil and Gary.. you would be nothing..

For all you bummed NY Yankees fans after tonight’s blown game-losing call: the harsh reality of playing in a team baseball event is that you’re only as good as the umpires.
