        Not many new things, mostly
Elista issue and all known, still nice conversation. Kramnik-Topalov game which will be played in corus tournement was also asked and Topalov says it’s no different than the other 12 games, just one of them.

        LOL. Was he joking ?

Some grandmaster interviews are just hilarious.

Especially when they are using these interviews to psych out their future opponents.

I think Kramnik for instance once said that Kasparov admires him (he was referring to the fact that Kasparov proposed to take him on the soviet team long long ago) and that Kasparov was afraid of him.

And now with all this stuff going on like Kramnik accused of cheating and Topalov beeing banned, and no handshakes, open letters, radio interviews ? And he says it’s just a game like all the other 12.

        That is rich.

And what do you expect to say?
That this game is special and is like a revenge… come on:)

I think that Topalov was decent as always and didn’t say anything insulting – on the contrary he showed respect to everyone else and at the same time he didn’t spare the truth.

Yeah, I would have liked that a lot 😉

Other sports persons would say something like that, i guess.

My point is that this is obviously an important game, even without all the stuff going on. It’s the world champion against the top-rated player, so both want to prove something. I think that’s clear to everyone (isn’t it?).

So why doesn’t he say so ? He can leave the revenge thing out.

Ok, he doesn’t want to put himself under pressure, but isn’t that what sport is about ?

Yes, and on the top of all sport is about rules and respect and fighting with honour. Topalov has always showed that he can stick with this requirements, obviously (to me) some other players ar far from achieving the same…
