
Azerbaijani chess player wins Grand Prix

Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 29/ Trend News, R. Ergun/ Azerbaijani chess player Teymur Rajabov won FIDE Grand Prix held in Elista city of Russia.
In the final round of the tournament, Rajabov met with the Russian Aleksandr Grishuk and draw the game.
Grishuk and Russian Dmitri Yakovenko, who had same number of scores with Azerbaijani chess player (8 scores), shared 2nd and 3rd places.
The other Azerbaijani chess player – Vugar Gashimov ranked 4th in the tournament. Shahriyar Mamedyarov shared 5th and 9th places with his rivals with 6.5 score.
