        Mate in 4

        1. Qh8+, Ng8 (forcef)
        2. Qxg7+, Kxg7(forced)
        3. Rh7+, Kf8 (only legal move)
        4. Rf7#

Easy peasy lemon squeazy since black’s moves are all forced ones. I got this one right to the end in about 5 seconds for once.

        1. Qh8 Ng8
        2. Qg7!

The hardest of the moves to spot, in my opinion. Continuing:

        2. ……Kg7
        3. Rh7 Kf8
        4. Rf7#

Took me an embarrassingly long time – 4 or 5 minutes – to see it; I kept looking for a way to sacrifice the Queen on g8 instead. Of course, the easy and obvious solution is:

        1. Qh8+ Ng8
        2. Qxg7+ Kxg7
        3. Rh7+ Kf8
        4. Rf7 mate
