Really good puzzle. I do not like to give solutions. Let everyone work on it.

No clues from me this time.

I’m a horrible patzer but Nd3 looks okay. White loses in every line I can think of.

        1. … Nd3
        2. cxd3 Rxc1 -/+

        1. … Nd3
        2. Qxd3 Qxc1 -/+

        1. … Nd3
        2. Bf4 Nxf2+ -/+

        and so on.

        BTW, love this blog! 🙂

        Nc3. If bxc3, then Rxc1. If Qxc3, then Qxc1.

I would definitely want to take advantage of the pin of the c-pawn and the overtaxing of white’s queen:

        1. …..Nd3
        2. Qd3 Qc1 wins an exchange. Also,

        1. …..Nd3
        2. cd3 Rc1
        3. Qe2 Rfc8 and black wins the exchange and gets a strong attack.

Declining to take the knight is probably is hardly better:

        1. …..Nd3
        2. Rd2 Nc1
        3. Qc1 Bh6
        4. Be1 Rc7 (or maybe d3) looks overwhelming for black.

        1… Nd3
        [a] 2. cxd3 Rxc1
        [b] Qxd3 Qxc1
otherwise, it is a fork and Black will be up an exchange.

        1. … Nd3 wins the exchange because of the Black rook and queen focused on c1.

1…Nd3 wins an exchange (2. cd R:c1) with much more to follow as the black Rooks penetrate along the c-file.
