Glad to see Maxim Dlugy back. Good luck with the election. Do you expect people like Goichberg, Schultz and Dubeck to support you and work with your team after you are all elected?

Bad day at the office for Kramnik. He has just lost the second game of the day to Aronian.

        Susan,
If you are elected will you ensure that non US residents are entitled to vote in future elections?

#1 Regardless if I am elected or not, there will be a US Women’s Olympiad Team in 2008.

#2 Yes, it is great to see Max back. I have great respect for Mr. Schultz, Dubeck and Goichberg. I just believe that I can do other things to help this federation. These are some of the people who have contributed so much for US Chess and I would definitely count of their wisdom and advices in the future.

#3 I would definitely propose this. I believe it is wrong for current USCF members not to be allowed to vote for the USCF election just because they are right now outside of the country. I believe that as long as the memberships are current, all qualified members should be entitled to vote.

        Best wishes,

Susan, why does it take chessbase so long to post the results every time Kramnik loses?

I was wondering what your thoughts are on the current rule that a club director must apply, pass a test, and become a local director within three years, otherwise s/he loses the ability to be a club director?

This seems to be a short sighted rule. It is hard enough to find people who will direct any tournaments. Why eliminate anyone for anything other than impropriaty or incompetence?

In order to encourage more members to become tournament directors, I have now started a policy that entry in any tournament I run will be free for any person who holds a current TD card and has at least directed one tournament within the last 12 months.

Do you or anyone else have good ideas to encourage more members in becoming TDs?

Susan are you planning anymore chess cruises? If so it would really be awesome to have a classic GM like Boris Spassky to lecture and play against!!! Also time permitting your sister Judith.

Kamsky…the next American World Champion! I’m really happy he’s back in form. He’s facing some tough competition but I believe he has the ability to be the world champ. Hope so….Someone who will replace the name of Fischer as the last American world champ.

And for those who say Kamsky isn’t “really” American….look at his passport….if he’d let you. Also, Fischer is no longer an “American” either. He’s a citizen of Iceland.

        Go Kamsky!!
