      Our friends from Sci-Tech center has a new website!

      Welcome to Sci-Tech!

      The Sci-Tech Center of Northern New York is a year-round, hands-on museum of science and technology. More than 40 interactive exhibits designed to spark the interest and imagination of visitors are offered in our 3.600 ft. facility. The Center operates as the only hands-on science museum in Northern New York. We are located on Stone Street in Watertown.

      The Sci-Tech Center strives to accomplish the following goals:

      – Develop participatory exhibits, demonstrations, and programs in the basic sciences and their technological applications
      – Enable the general public to gain a first-hand experience with natural phenomena and man-made devices
      – Serve as a resource for formal educational programs
      – Foster interest in scientific , engineering, and industrial careers
      – Communicate to the public a better understanding and appreciation of science and the derived technology

      With these goals in mind, The Sci-Tech Center developes and maintains numerous programs and activities. The Center is an educational and cultural resource for the community.

      And YES, they have CHESS 🙂

        Susan has helped to explode Chess learning here in the North Country. Her books is used as THE learning guide at Sci-Tech, LaFargeville Central School and the Gouverneur Library. Thank You Susan…JK
