      Shocker in the making?

      Brazil, Soccer, Team USA

With 20 minutes remaining, the U.S. is leading Brazil 2-1! They led 2-0 in the first half. Could this be the biggest upset since team USA defeated the Soviet in hockey in 1980 Winter Olympics?

Brazil just scored a magnificent goal to tie 2-2!

Brazil just scored again to lead 3-2 with about 5.5 minutes left!

      Final score: Brazil 3-2 USA

        Good game! Bad substitutes.

Is losing a 2-0 halftime lead like losing when you were a clear Pawn ahead at Move 20 (in a game with mutual attacking chances)?

Brazil may have scored 4. The ref and linesman missed one where the goalie, while fairly deep behind the line, reached out and punched at a ball in the air that was just crossing the line: the ball then hit the crossbar and went out. Though it was hard to judge, it was pretty clear on the instant replays that a goal should have been awarded.

I did not see the game yet but…….Just hearing the US had led The Big Brazil by 2 null, is an absolutely amazing shocking wonderful surprise. So they lost in the end. So what? Isn’t the rule Win with grace lose with dignity upholds here too?
I am proud of the US team achievement. Formerly spending some High School years in America, loving the Americans, having wonderful memories, I think every American should be real proud of the preformance of their team. Bravo US! And congratulations to the winners Brazil. After all its Brazil. Remember? Brazil? Pele’s Brazil. With its glorious soccer-football heritage. Come on, the US just preformed outstandingly.
        Best wishes
        A Weiler
