      Shota Azaladze wins 11th Khazar International Open

      Chess tournament, Iran

      Georgian IM Shota Azaladze grabbed the first place at the 11th Khazar International Open, which took place in Rasht, Iran, from March 01-08, 2013.

      Azaladze edged two Iranian players thanks to a better tiebreak score after getting 8.5/11 points. IM S. Hamed Moovasian finished second and GM Pouria Darini got the third place.

      The Georgian IM obtained a 2521 rating performance and gained 8 rating points.

      Last year winner was then 17-years old IM Pouya Idani.
