This was not one of Bosboom’s better games.

Maybe Bosboom shouldn’t have used the Center Counter against So.

Don’t count out the other kid, 14 yr-old Giri. He’s had a nice run as well.

Wesley played well and spanked the 2400 Manuel for daring to go tactical with him.

Tiger played like a kitten and played a dubious opening leading to Q and R mate position.

Wesley will spank Tiger if he plays like Manuel B.

Probably a draw if Tiger chickens out.

Who is the boys trainer? Probably some Philippino weakling?

If So wins here, his manager (or parents) will (or should) probably start looking for the chess-world equivalent of Freddie Roach. A trainer who can elevate So’s chess-playing abilities to the next level.
