I’m glad Radjabov is reviving the KID among the elite. Kramnik has been killing the KID for the past few years, so I’m impressed that Radjabov decided to play it against one of the strongest players on the white side of the opening.

Did any of you follow the Hou Yifan-Spoelman game? Is there some deep strategy going on that I didn’t see, or did Spoelman simply drop his queen?!

Too bad Anand couldn’t win with White against Shirov. He’d have been back in contention if he had.

        One big gun didn’t draw. Svidler-Topalov, 1-0.
