      Spanish youth chess championships 2010 for gilrs and boys
      U8, U10, U12, U14 sections complete, U16 underway

      The Spanish youth chess championships 2010 for gilrs and boys are taking place in the months of June and July in Linares (Jaen). More than 500 young talents compete in the different categories in the event.

      The U8, U10, U12, U14 sections complete, scroll down for full results, report, medalists, and photos.

      The U16 championship is currently underway with FM David Anton Guijarro, FM Daniel Forcen Esteban, and FM David Pardo Simon as top seeded.

      Inigo Ortin Blanco and Joana Ros Alonso sub 8 chess champions of Spain

      Inigo Ortin Blanco from Navarra has won the gold medal in the Spanish sub 8 chess championship. He collected 6,5/7 points, half a point more than the silver medalist smael Amador García (Canarias) and Luis Miguel Lechuga Cabrero (Andalucía).

      Spanish sub 8 champion for girls is Joana Ros Alonso from Catalunia, the silver medal is for the daughter of GM Cramling and GM Bellon – Ana Cramlimg Bellón (Andalucía), while bronze is for ilar López García (Murcia).

        Jaime Santos won the U-14. I recall he beat Paco Vallejo in a simul when was nine. He must have talent.
